Steve Bergmann Brasecker, 53, of Pembroke Pines, FL died Sunday, March 19, 2000. He was a member of American Legion Post 0400. He is survived by his wife, Wendy; son, Scott of SC; step-children, Melissa (Matt) Gallagher and Johnathan Keller, both of FL; brother, Carey (Kay) of LaBelle, FL; and 3 grandchildren.

A single-car crash Sunday morning on I-75 claimed a Pembroke Pines man's life. The Florida Highway Patrol said Steve B. Brasecker, 53, died at the scene when his 1997 Chrysler struck a patch of standing water in the inside westbound lane of I-75 near Bonaventure Boulevard. Brasecker lost control and smashed into a guardrail and concrete wall, troopers said. His car came to rest in the outside lane, facing the opposite direction.

Funeral service is at 2:00 PM Tuesday with Dr. Larry G. Purvis officiating at FRED HUNTER'S HOLLYWOOD MEMORIAL GARDENS HOME, 6301 Taft Street, where friends may call Tuesday (today) 1:00 PM to service time. Burial is at HOLLYWOOD MEMORIAL GARDENS.
